As of the 1 November 2013 Bulgartransgaz EAD started the implementation of a project "Optimization of health and safety at work" with identification number ESF-2303-01-04016, which won approval for financial aid in line with procedure BG051PO001-2.3 0.03 - "Safety at work" with the financial support of Human Resources Development Operational Programme, co-financed by the European Social Fund.
The project duration is 12 months, covering all Bulgartransgaz EAD sites and divisions and aimed at the development, implementation and certification of a standardized system for managing health and safety at work - BS OHSAS 18001:2007, as well as the provision of collective and personal protective equipment.
The project value amounts to BGN 223 167.01 of which BGN 178 533.61 are proceeds from the grant (representing 80% of project total cost) and BGN 44 633.40 are Bulgartransgaz self financing.
The specific benefits of its implementation relate to the optimization of the working conditions and safety at work and to the increase in the productivity of Bulgartransgaz EAD employees in full compliance with the health and safety at work regulations.
