On 25 November 2013 Bulgartransgaz EAD introduced into commercial operation a new exit point – Gas Metering Station (GMS) Sandanski 2 as well as a gas branch connecting GMS Sandanski 2 with the existing gas transmission network.
The branch is with a technical capacity of length of 9,250 Nm³/h with a possibility of increase of up to 24 000 Nm³/h. The maximum working pressure of the gas metering station is 54 bar, and the minimum is 35 bar.
The implementation of this project will enable the households and the public and industrial users in the town of Sandanski to access natural gas using the network built by the local gas distribution company. The project will help reduce the cost of energy, will have a positive environmental impact and will contribute to increasing the energy efficiency, the business potential and the sustainable development of the region.
