This morning at 05.40 am an emergency has occurred on a main gas pipeline in Moldova that is used for natural gas delivery to the countries in the Balkan Region.
It is expected decrease in natural gas deliveries for Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece and Macedonia. Restrictions and probable term of time for the emergency elimination are being clarified at the moment.
There shall not be restrictions for consumers in Bulgaria, due to the fact that natural gas Public Supplier Bulgargaz EAD and the National Transmission System Operator Bulgartransgaz EAD, both daughter companies of Bulgarian Energy Holding EAD (BEH EAD), shall use spare volumes within the system and Chiren Underground Gas Storage.
BEH EAD shall provide, in due time, the needed information, in case of situation change.
